Turmeric, Honey, Mint & Lemon Tea

A soothing, golden-hued tea that’s as nourishing as it is delicious. This warming blend is perfect for cooler mornings, winding down in the evening, or as a natural remedy when you’re feeling under the weather. Turmeric is known for its anti-inflammatory and immune-boosting properties, honey soothes the throat, lemon provides a dose of vitamin C, and fresh mint adds a refreshing finish.

Ingredients

2 cups (500ml) water

1 tsp ground turmeric or 2cm piece fresh turmeric, grated

1 tbsp honey (or more to taste)

Juice of ½ lemon

4–5 fresh mint leaves, plus extra to serve

½ tsp grated ginger (optional, for an extra kick)

Method

  1. In a small saucepan, bring the water to a gentle simmer.

  2. Add the turmeric and ginger (if using), stirring to combine. Let it simmer for 3–4 minutes to infuse.

  3. Remove from heat and add the honey, lemon juice, and mint leaves. Stir well.

  4. Strain into cups and serve with extra mint leaves. Adjust sweetness with more honey if desired.
